Out of the Pan (at Raffles City) has a 1 for 1 promotion on ALL dishes including their set menus, side dishes and even their signature crepes! Valid for Mon-Thur for UOB Cardmembers.

Bread of Life Cafe (at #B1-17 Marina Link) has some pretty value Set Lunch at $12.90 for Main + Soup + Drink + Dessert!! Yummy!

To bring something back, it also has a bakery beside it that has a storewide 10% discount now. :)

Minds Cafe (at Funan) has one of my favourite Value for Money set Lunch and Dinner for weekdays. Their Set Lunch AND Set Dinner on weekdays is just $10! You get a Main + Salad + Drink + Free Boardgaming. And for the drinks, its not just the usual soft drinks that comes with set meals. You get to choose from their full drinks menu with exciting items like Mocha Float, Earl Grey Float, Sparkling Mango Coolers etc etc.. (these drinks are worth $4.90 each!). Places for the Last Min Christmas Shoppings

Here's an example to give you an idea of how much mileage you can get. For moi, the Queen, a well planned out shopping/meeting/catching up day in town when she drives goes something like this:

Bugis Junction (3hrs) -> Raffles City (3hrs) ->Plaza Sing (3hrs) => 9hrs of peace of mind where parking charges are concerned.

If 9hrs of FREE parking in town is not enough to get things done, there's always:
Funan (3 hrs) -> Clarke Quay (3hrs)

Though by then, the per entry would have kicked in and you can stay longer at the mall without paying for parking.

Apart from these carparks in CBD, you can also enjoy the same 3 hour Free parking at Bishan Juction 8, Tampines Mall, IMM, Choa Chu Kang Lot 1 and Sembawang Shopping Center.
And while you are in these Capitaland malls, the card also give rebates of up to 20% at many of the tenants. There is also a 0.3% rebate for all other retail spending.

For M1 customers, every Sunday is a 1-for-1 movie treat. Just flash your latest M1 bill or the M1 logo on your phone when buying movie tickets and get the 2nd ticket FREE. But its only for the 1st 350 customers every weekend. So a word of advice from the Queen - be the 1st to be there!

For UOB card holders, pay with your UOB card and get to watch the shows on weekdays at $6 (Mon-Fri(before 5pm)) while weekend tickets are $8 (Fri after 5pm, Sat, Sun& PH) . There is also more savings with a further 2% rebate (SMART$) to your card. And if you are holding on to the UOB One Card, even better deal awaits. Every Tuesday, the 1st 40 UOB One cardholders get a FREE pop corn and drink combo with the purchase of a pair of tickets. Yummy!

While we are on the topic of UOB cards, let the Queen digress a little from the movie tips. UOB One card currently gives a $30 cash rebate if there's a spending of $300 every month for 3 months and a $80 cash rebate if there's a spending of $800 every month for 3 months.

Savviest Deal on Petrol - 21.5% discount

For the drivers out there, here's the 1st goodie from moi, the queen.

Cracking your head to find the cheapest way to tank up your prize vehicle? Overloaded and overwhelmed trying to work out the best deal with all the different site discounts, member discounts, credit card discounts? Fret no more. Help is here. The best deal is here.

Does 10-12% discount off your petrol bills sounds good to you? How about 10-12% discount at ANY petrol station of your choice ON TOP of whatever other site discounts, member discounts etc? And not just on petrol, but get a 10-12% CASH Rebate on everything else they sell there (magazines, drinks, food, groceries blah blah blah)?

And if you are not fussy about the petrol station, you can get an additional 11% discount on top of the above mentioned 10-12% discount. That translate to almost 21.5% discount for petrol! Cool?

Here's how to get it.

Step 1
Get the Standard Chartered XtraSaver debit card. Maintain $20,000-$50,000 in the account and you get to enjoy 10-12% discount at ALL petrol stations ON TOP of all other site discounts offered.

One other benefit of this debit card is that ALL NETS transactions are given 0.5% cash rebates. This means that if you use this card to pay your ANY other credit card bills at AXS machines, you get cash rebates too. Eg you pay say $3000 for your credit card spending (ANY credit card bill), you actually get a bonus of $15 extra back into your XtraSaver account.

Also, you get 1-1.5% Cash Rebate off ALL other Mastercard transactions made with this card.

Step 2
Apply for the Safra Card. With the Safra Card, you will get 11% discount off petrol prices at Caltex Petrol Stations.

So if you combine Step 1 and Step 2 (ie. Show your Safra Card at Caltex Petrol Stations and use your XtraSaver debit card to make payment) Voila, 21.5% discount off petrol! Say one's monthly petrol expenditure is $300, that translate to $780 petrol savings a year!
